50 Cambodians Arrested Illegally Crossing Thai Border

BATTAMBANG: Provincial Authorities have released a statement saying on Monday, 27 of December, police forces acted to prevent people from illegally cross the border into Thai territory, arresting 50 people in the village of Spean Youl, Chrey Seima commune, Sampov Loun district.

Of the fifty Cambodians arrested during the operation, fourteen were children following their parents to Thailand. The police have also detained two suspects, a woman of 34 year and a man of 36, of working as guides, as well as another man for working as a driver. The driver was identified as male of 33 year old from the province of Pursat.
